New Study Finds That Outdoor Play Can Reduce Negative Effects Of Screen Time

There's some good (and bad) news out of Japan if you're worried about your kid spending too much time staring at a screen. Researchers tracked 885 children from age 18 months to 4 years old. The bad news is that the study found a correlation between increased screen time and negative effects in communication, daily living skills, and socialization. The good news is that outdoor play helped to offset some of the reduced performance in daily living skills, even though it didn't seem to alter the negative effects on communication.
